travel canada british columbia vancouver island shirley shirley delicious

When we knew we were going to take a sightseeing drive along the southwest coast of Vancouver Island, I checked the internet for recommended places to eat.
Shirley Delicious, in Shirley, got the highest rating, and deservidly so.
We stopped for lunch and ate on the outdoor patio.
I ordered a "Coolangatto"... a roast turkey sandwich with homemade bread, cranberry chutney, and brie for CAD $9.00.
It was the best turkey sandwich I have ever eaten.
I also had a homemade lemonade with lavender and mint... good.
Lynn ordered a "Scarabottolo" capicolo tuscan ham sandwich with homemade bread, havarti cheese and caramolized onions.
My mother-in-law ordered the corn fritters with salsa, advocado and crumbled feta cheese.
I tasted the fritters and they were exceptional...
